  • When Ford designed the 1979-2014 Mustang's with 8.8" rear end, they engineered them to support (in theory) approximately 400 horsepower. Nowadays, it's extremely easy to push your Mustang above that number. Granatelli's Rear End Girdle Support greatly increases the strength of your OEM rear by keeping the pinion from pushing the ring gear out; which can damage spider gears and destroy the ring gear and pinion.
